14th District Municipal Update
Southfield
Mayor Ken Siver has declared a State of Emergency on March 13, 2020. Effective immediately, all city events and activities will be postponed or cancelled until April 6, 2020 or further notice.
City hall remains open; however, the City Clerk’s and City Treasurer’s Offices are currently closed to the public. Residents can still conduct business online, via phone and through the City’s drop box.

Lathrup Village
City of Lathrup Village city hall remains open to the public. All meetings and public events and have been rescheduled through mid-April.

Farmington Hills
Farmington Hills City Hall, the Division of Public Works, Costick Center, Ice Arena, Nature Center, Jon Grant Center, and Longacre House will be closed to the public as of 4:30 p.m. March 17th.Parks and recreations programs will have closures for the next 30 days. Residents are encouraged to use online services for birth/death certificates and building permits.

Oak Park
The City of Oak Park is declaring a local emergency. City Hall will be closed to the public through Sunday, April 5. Residents and business owners are encouraged to make use of online payment options or the dropbox outside City Hall.All public events have been cancelled until further notice, and both the city library and community center are closed until further notice.

West Bloomfield
All city offices will remain open Monday to the public and functioning as normal. All public events have been cancelled until further notice. The public Library will be closed for 30 days. Parks and recreations will cancel multiple programs for 30 days.

Orchard Lake

Keego Harbor

Sylvan Lake

Detroit
All city offices are open to the public and functioning as normal. All public events have been cancelled until further notice.
Detroit Public Library has closed locations until April 5, 2020. Customers may continue to use the Library’s drop boxes, which will be emptied regularly. There are no late fines for materials that are returned in good condition. The Library’s online services are available for cardholders, including its vast collection of digital materials such as eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, streaming movies, and research tools for online learning.
City of Detroit Recreation Centers are closed until April 5th. The city’s 40 recreation workers would be reassigned to assist Detroit public school workers who will bring food to children and families who otherwise would have received it from the schools, which will also close until April.
Hamtramck

Grosse Pointe
