A Dearborn Heights student has returned to the West Bank after being detained last week in a nationwide sweep connected to a federal sting operation involving a fake university in Oakland County. Najilaa Karim Musarsa, 29, was one of 130 students of the phony University of Farmington who were arrested, a family spokesman said.

Complaints are pouring in about the conditions in detention centres, where 129 Indian students have been kept for alleged visa fraud violations, in the U.S.. Attorney Pooja Sethi, director at non-profit law firm Immigration for All, said she had spent an entire day at San Antonio, where six Indian students were in detention at the Pearsall Detention Center awaiting their hearings.
