FBI and MSP Search Michigan Sen. Bert Johnson's Office and Home

The FBI and Michigan State Police are conducting searches at State Sen. Bert Johnson's Lansing office and Highland Park home, the Michigan State Police confirmed on Monday. Johnson, D-Highland Park, who has served in the Senate since 2010, could not be reached for comment Monday morning. Access to his office in the Connie B. Binsfeld Office Building, where Senate offices are located, was blocked by Senate Police on Monday morning. Johnson served two terms in the Michigan House before being elected to the Senate in 2010. In 2013 he threw his hat in the ring for Michigan's 14th Congressional District. U.S. Rep. Brenda Lawrence, D-Southfield, won the seat.
