Women’s Alliance of Oakland County Business Seminar Nears
The Women’s Alliance of Oakland County is hosting a training program next week designed to help women excel in the professional world.
Business Protocols for Success will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the Auburn Hills Marriott Centerpoint, located at 3600 Centerpoint Parkway in Pontiac.
Attendees will learn how to improve their professional communication skills and develop successful workplace behaviors, according to a press release announcing the event.
The event includes a presentation, group activities, self-assessments and a luncheon as well as a panel discussion featuring industry leaders.
Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence is expected to receive the group’s first Glass Ceiling Award, which honors business professionals who personify the key attributes of leadership.

Established in 2013, the Women’s Alliance of Oakland County is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering career opportunities for women.
The organization sponsored a conference for more than 100 female veterans last year addressing common problems relating to housing and money management, among other topics.
