WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Brenda L. Lawrence (MI-14) announces that Michigan’s 14th district will receive federal funding awards totaling $1,611,832 in Justice Assistance Grants (JAG) to support federal criminal justice programs:  

“I am very pleased that Michigan’s 14th district is the recipient of multiple JAG awards to help support our justice system through training, allocation of equipment and supplies and supportive personnel for the betterment of our communities.  I am proud to announce the following awards”:

Oak Park

  • $11,898 Patrol Vehicle Laptop Computer Purchase Program


  • $97,955 Request for Over-time Funds to Deter Criminal Activities in the City of Pontiac


  • $22,100 Less Than Lethal Equipment Purchase Project

Oakland County

  • $80,862 Sheriff’s Office – Investigative and Forensic Services Investigations – Property/Evidence Room Security Enhancements


Wayne County

  • $1,399,017 2016 JAG Grand – Local Units Sharing in Law Enforcement Activities
