MEDIA ADVISORY: CONGRESSWOMAN BRENDA LAWRENCE TO PARTICIPATE IN SKILLED WORKFORCE INITATIVE

WASHINGTON, DC – Tomorrow, Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence (MI-14) and Congressman French Hill (AR-02) will travel throughout the Second Congressional District of Arkansas to promote jobs and opportunities in the skilled trades.

Congresswoman Lawrence and Congressman Hill and are co-chairs of the Skilled Workforce Caucus, a bipartisan group that is committed to shrinking the “skills gap” by supporting the development of the skilled trades throughout the entire country. Last October, Congresswoman Lawrence hosted Congressman Hill in her district. During last October’s visit the Congresswoman exposed Congressman Hill to companies, organizations, and employees in Detroit that are directly tied to work in the skilled trades.

The Congresswoman’s visit on Friday will highlight opportunities for training in the skilled workforce as well as career opportunities.
