U.S. Rep. Lawrence Elected as Vice Chair of House Appropriations Committee
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Brenda L. Lawrence (MI-14) was elected as the Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee for the 117th Congress. Rep. Lawrence will also be a member of the following Appropriations Subcommittees: Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies; Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies; and Financial Services and General Government.
“I’m honored to have the trust and confidence of my colleagues to serve as the Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee. During an unprecedented time for our country, I’m ready to work with Chairwoman DeLauro and my Democratic and Republican congressional colleagues to properly fund our government and tackle the challenges we’re facing,” said Rep. Lawrence. “It’s all hands on deck to help families in Michigan and across the country get through these health and economic crises.
