Press Release

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Brenda L. Lawrence (MI-14) praised President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 national action plan, which included the signing of several executive orders to expand access to testing, ensure states have the resources necessary to quickly administer vaccines, strengthen the supply chain, provide guidance for the reopening of schools and businesses, and to further assist with the economic recovery for cities and states. The President’s national action plan and signed executive orders can be found here.

“President Biden is providing the leadership our country has desperately needed these past 10 months. The combination of his national strategy and the implementation of the executive orders signed today put us on the path to get this pandemic under control,” said Rep. Lawrence. “It’s refreshing to see the leader of our country understand the seriousness of this public health crisis. In his national action plan, he’s focusing federal resources to expand testing, address the racial health disparities, improve vaccine production and distribution, and so much more. Today is a reminder that it’s going to take all of us to keep our communities safe and to get our economy back on track.”
