Office Operations
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Brenda L. Lawrence (MI-14) announced the following changes to office operations in both her Washington, D.C. and Southfield offices. Effective immediately, the below changes will be implemented:
Washington, D.C. Office:
The Washington, D.C. office will be closed the week of March 16. All staff members will be teleworking and accessible via email. All meetings will occur over the phone. As previously announced, tours of the U.S. Capitol have also been suspended indefinitely, and if any constituent has a previously scheduled tour, or needs assistance during their visit, please email Ryan Casman at Ryan.Casman@mail.house.gov
Southfield District Office:
The Southfield District office will be closed the week of March 16. All staff members will be teleworking and accessible via email. Any previously scheduled meeting will be held virtually. We will still be accepting all constituent phone calls. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at 248-356-2052.
“In recognition of the unique challenges posed by the spread of the Coronavirus, my office is taking proactive measures to ensure the health and well-being of all visitors while maintaining operating procedures to best serve the constituents of the 14th district,” said Rep. Lawrence. “We will continue serving constituents via e-mail and phone, however in an effort to be as conscientious as possible, we will discontinue in-person meetings indefinitely. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to either of my offices—we will continue serving the 14th district in the safest manner possible. I encourage all Michiganders to closely follow the guidelines of both the CDC and your local public health officials.”
I will be hosting a virtual town hall early next week with health professionals to address any of your questions or concerns. Please visit my social media pages below for additional information:
