U.S. Representative Lawrence to Hold Corktown Town Hall
Detroit, MI – Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence (MI-14) has scheduled a Town Hall meeting in Detroit’s Corktown community on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) facility located at 1680 Michigan Avenue from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
This lecture-style Town Hall will give Congresswoman Lawrence an opportunity to update constituents on her achievements as a member of the House Committee on Appropriations and the onslaught of legislation that the House has passed during the 116th Congress. The Congresswoman will also inform those Corktown residents who may be unfamiliar with the federal assistance that is offered by congressional offices, any of the information that may help them.
As a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, Congresswoman Lawrence will provide residents with updated information on the current impeachment inquiry that has been undertaken by the U.S. House of Representatives as well as her stance on the inquiry.
Immediately following the Congresswoman’s presentation will be a question and answer session that will afford Corktown constituents an opportunity to address her with any of their concerns.
