Rep. Lawrence Stands with Colleagues in Condemning the President’s Dangerous Contraception Rule

Today, Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus Co-Chairs Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Louise Slaughter (D-NY) led members of the House of Representatives in denouncing President Trump’s dangerous contraception rule. This rule will restrict women’s access to contraception and allows virtually anyone, including bosses, health plans, and schools to discriminate against women by refusing to cover birth control. Women won’t just have higher out-of-pocket costs on birth control, they will pay the full cost for their birth control if their employer, health plan, or school decides they don’t want to cover them.The congressional leaders are encouraging the president to listen to this groundswell and stop ignoring the voices of Congress and the American people.
